There’s a simple way to answer that based on what day of the week you were born. Based on your natal day, you are under the guardianship of one of the seven Archangels.
Why does this information fall into the “good to know” category? Regardless of your faith (or even non-faith), I hope you’re not naïve enough to assume that we humans are the only “inhabitants” of this planet. Let’s start with the assumption that there are indeed advanced beings from the higher astral planes, encouraging us to be our best self in this mortal plane so that we can soon be elevated to their level.
I forgot where I’ve read this, but in some traditions, an “angel” is considered to be simply the individual’s “Higher Self.” In other words, some people who would rather not believe in the existence of “supernatural beings” can otherwise believe that they’re accessing something wise and powerful within them whenever they call for help and guidance. So whether you believe in angels or your own Higher Self or in both, here are some helpful information for you.
Before anything else, if you don’t know which day of the week you were born, it’s best to get a hold of a perpetual calendar, or enter your birth data in one of the many free horoscope-generating websites out there. Simply type “free horoscopes” in Google and see where your search takes you. Another thing you can do is visit this Filipino website called www.viloria.com, look at the navigation links on the left-hand side and locate “Popular Pages,” then find “Guardian Angels” below. You will be taken to a page where you can enter your month, date, and year of birth. After that of course, you’ll already know under which Archangel’s wings you are embraced and protected. For example, I was born on April 4, 1970. Looking it up on my perpetual calendar or entering my birth data at www.viloria.com, I see that I was born on a ———-, so my Guardian Angel is ———- ?
Monday St. Gabriel Special messenger of God Depicted as carrying: Scroll
Tuesday St. Raphael Healer and guide for the Christian pilgrim Fish
Wednesday St. Uriel Archangel of justice Weighing Scale
Thursday St. Zadkiel Archangel of worship and contemplation Incenser/Thurible
Friday St. Jofiel Archangel of Divine Mercy Sacred Heart
Saturday St. Barachiel Archangel of divine providence Basket of Bread
Sunday St. Michael Prince of the Heavenly Hosts Sword

For the next few paragraphs, I had additional help from
www.viloria.com
The Christians among us remember St. Gabriel as the angel who announced to Mary that she will soon be with child. The passages can be found in the first chapter of the gospel according to Luke. Gabriel also figures in the Old Testament (Book of Daniel chapters 8-9) as the Angel who foretold the end of the world to Daniel.
St. Raphael is the Archangel of the person’s pilgrimage on this earth to find happiness. He also protects and accompanies us in our spiritual journey. His name, Rapha-el, connotes “medicine of God,” and so he is the Angel who brings us abundant health and provisions for our journey ahead.
With the weighing scale in his hand, St. Uriel reminds us of God’s justice that weighs each of us based on our true worth. He warns that divine judgment will come as a result of man’s human pride and godlessness.
St. Zadkiel continually worships God, incenser in hand. He of angelic purity is the one who intercedes before the throne to overcome the evils of hedonism in our day. Zadkiel is also known as the angel who stopped Abraham from killing his son Isaac as a sacrifice (see in the 22nd chapter of the book of Genesis).
St. Jofiel is the dispenser of God’s eternal and abundant mercy. Jofiel is depicted as carrying the Sacred Heart of Jesus according to Catholic tradition. According to the website: “Mercy is grace for bodily and spiritual needs. Mercy is God Himself through the merits of Jesus Christ bringing us back to our Heavenly Home.”
St. Barachiel is “God’s benediction,” the angel of protection and care for the humans who are disciples of Jesus Christ. Barachiel was thus assigned by God to keep watch over His adopted children, those transformed souls who are valuable enough to guard “lest they dash their feet against the stone.”
Finally, St. Michael is the Prince and Commander-in-Chief of all the hierarchies of the Heavenly Hosts. He defeated Lucifer and his followers in the first rebellion of creatures against God. His battle cry: Mi-ca-El” means “Who is like unto God?” and that’s how he was named.
Now if you are anywhere in the vicinity of downtown Hayward and you feel like getting a miniature of your Guardian Angel, you might want to check out a gift store called “St. Gabriel’s Catholic Books and Gifts.” The shop is located at 946 “B” Street, with telephone number (510) 889-6099. The owner, Ms. Carolyn Leandro, or anyone in her staff, will help you with your angel figurine choice, either for yourself or as a gift to someone else. Better yet, call ahead of time and ask if they have figurines of the particular angel you need.
Now that you know who your Guardian Angel is, here’s the simplest prayer you can say: “Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom his love commits me here, ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen.”
